The report for SMILO Second Annual Meeting and ISOS Interreg Marritimo Meeting is now available!

The two events took place together in Cannes from Decembre 11 to 13, 2018 and were co-organised with the French Coastal Management Agency and the City of Cannes.

Small islands representatives from SMILO network, institutional and financial partners, as well as thematic experts from around the world met for 3 days of exchanges and technical workshops, in front of the Lérins archipelago.

This was an important event for the NGO, because the Assessment Committee met for the first time to conduct the first intermediate assessments. The official Awards Ceremony took place at the end of the public seminar “Island Heritage”.

This major meeting was also an opportunity to bring together the partners from the European Project ISOS, supported by the European Program INTERREG Marittimo France-Italy 2014-2020. They met during a technical workshop to discuss the preservation of islands’ tangible and intangible heritage.
