GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Lipari is the name of an island and the only major town in the Aeolian Islands archipelago, located off the northern coast of Sicily. The island has been inhabited for at least 6,000 years, with people from the Neolithic, Bronze, and Hellenistic ages all settling here.
