Context

Project : Circular Economy on Small EU Islands

Location : Gozo (Malta), Hvar & Pakleni (Croatia), Sifnos (Greece) et Frioul (France)

Duration : 24 months (September 2022 – August 2024)

Project partners : Gozo Regional Development Authority (Malta), Public Institution Sea and Karst-MORE I KRŠ (Croatia), Anemos Ananeosis (Greece), Frioul Island Committee (France)

Financed by : Erasmus+ KA210-ADU – Small-scale Partnerships

Global project budget : 60,000 €

Project presentation

 

The project aims to meet the need for exchanges and capacity & knowledge building of small European island managers in terms of the circular economy. It focuses on strengthening solidarity between EU islands, by pursuing the following objectives and results:

  • Strengthen the capacities of small islands and less experienced European organisations to work in a network.
  • Strengthen the technical skills of project partners in the areas of circular economy and adaptation to climate change.
  • Strengthen European cooperation.
  • Expand SMILO’s network and catalog of concrete actions which shares and promotes good practices for the sustainable management of small islands.
